· What is fiber
Ans: Fiber is defined as one of the delicate, hair portions of the tissues of a plant or animal or other substances that are very small in diameter in relation to their length. Textile Fiber: A fiber that can be sun into yarn or processed into textile such as a woven fabric, knit fabric, lace, felt, non-woven etc by means of an appropriate interlacing method is called as textile fiber.

· What is yarn
Ans: Yarn is a long continuous length of interlocked fibres, suitable for use in the production of textiles, sewing, knitting, weaving, embroidery. Textile yarn is a strand of natural or synthetic fibers or filaments.
· What is fabric
Ans: Fabric is cloth or other material produced by weaving together cotton, nylon, wool, silk, or other threads. Fabrics are used for making things such as clothes, curtains, and sheets.
· What is natural fiber
Ans: Natural fibres are the fibres that are obtained from plants, animals or mineral sources. Some examples are cotton, silk, wool etc. Natural fibres can again be divided into two types based on their source i.e. plants and animals.
· What is spandex
Ans: Spandex is a synthetic fabric that is respected for its elasticity. Contrary to popular belief, the term "spandex" is not a brand name, and this term is used to generally refer to polyether-polyurea copolymer fabrics that have been made with a variety of production processes. The terms spandex, Lycra, and elastane are synonymous.

· What is relative humidity?
Ans: Relative humidity is the ratio of the amount of water vapour present in unit volume of air to the amount of water vapour required to saturate a unit volume of air under the same temperature and pressure.This is expressed as a percentage.
· What is lapels?
Ans: Lapels are the folded flaps of cloth on the front of a jacket or coat and are most commonly found on formal clothing and suit jackets. Usually they are formed by folding over the front edges of the jacket or coat and sewing them to the collar, an extra piece of fabric around the back of the neck.
There are three basic forms of lapels: notched, peaked, and shawl. Notched lapels, the most common, are usually seen on business suits, and on more casual jackets like blazers and sport coats. Peaked lapels are more formal, and nearly always used on double breasted jackets, but also frequently appear on single breasted ones. Shawl lapels are usually carried by tuxedos and mess jackets.
· What is layout?
Ans: The definition of a good layout might differ from person to person but there are certain basics that are must for any apparel factory layout. A good factory layout is directly associated with good workflow, right from material receiving till the finished goods go out of the factory. Whatever type of plant layout a firm develops, it should be designed to optimise quality, throughput time and flexibility.
· What is staple length?
Ans: Staple length, a property of staple fibre, is a term referring to the average length of a group of fibres of any composition. Staple length depends on the origin of the fibres. Natural fibres (such as cotton or wool) have a range of lengths in each sample, so the staple length is an average. For synthetic fibres which have been cut to a certain length, the staple length is the same for every fibre in the group.
2. Which qualities should have a person to work in a team?
A strong team is the foundation of high-performing business and a good team ethic can be held largely accountable for the success and smooth running of the organization.
o Honest and Straightforward. A good team member is up front. He/she doesn’t play games, or lead others on. You can count on a good team member to tell you what’s what, whether it is good news or bad news.
o Shares the Load. A good team member does his or her fair share of the work. There is a sense of equity and fairness, which is critically important for team members’ collective motivation.
o Reliable. The good team member can be counted on. She or he meets deadlines and is on time.
o Fair. A good team member takes appropriate credit, but would never think of taking credit for someone else’s work.
o Complements Others’ Skills. An important characteristic of effective work teams is the shared capacity: Every member has areas of strength and some weak spots. A good team member provides some unique skills and/or knowledge that moves the team forward.
o Good Communication Skills. Teamwork is social, so good team members need to be skilled, and tactful, communicators.
o Positive Attitude. No one would follow a pessimistic leader, and the same goes for team members. A positive, can-do attitude is critical for the good team member.
